Weekly Photo Challenge : On the Move

I was experimenting with the panorama function on my, then fairly new, camera. As often happens, a car got in the way! So, in this case, not only is the car moving, but so also, the camera was panning left to right!

This post is in response to this week’s challenge from The Daily Post, at which site, many more entries will be found.

For those interested, I did continue panning. The uncropped panoramic photo appears below. To the right is the gate leading to Via Roma, Tuscania, Viterbo Province, Lazio.  At the time, I discarded the photo as unsuccessful!

Weekly Photo Challenge : Street Life

This week we are challenged as follows – “In a post created specifically for this challenge, share a photo that brings a street to life.”  The original challenge and other people’s clever interpretations can be found at The Daily Post here

As soon as I saw this challenge, I immediately thought ‘Italy’ – where better to find scenes that bring streets to life. Whether it be tourists shopping or locals chatting, lovers strolling arm in arm, signs suggesting road works, or the ubiquitous ‘motorini’, I could think of no better examples than some scenes from Arezzo, Tuscany.

I’m afraid I couldn’t limit myself to just one photo for this challenge!
