I seem to have been ‘off the air’!

Here’s the latest. One kind follower let me know there was a problem accessing this blog. Thank you, Phil.

Also, after not being able to save new posts for some weeks, I made time to contact support.

Using ‘chat mode’, I described the issue that anyone had – i.e. not being to open posts although the main page was coming up.

The tech support person asked for 2-3 minutes to investigate, but then the ‘chat’ seemed to disappear into the ether. I could not add new messages from my end, and did not see anything more from the other end. After 40 minutes, I terminated the chat and completed the survey.

Out of curiosity, I tried the site again, and it seems to work! Incroyable!

Then I tried to create a new post, which I had not been able to do. Voila! This seems to work also.

A huge thank you is necessary.

Weekly Photo Challenge : Relic

My ‘relic’ is only around fifty five years old. No self respecting science or engineering student of the 1950s and 1960s would have been without a slide rule such as this. Many of today’s students may not even recognise one!

The box indicates how well loved, and used, mine was. Better still, it is as accurate today as when it was brand new. Oh, and there was no fear of the batteries running low on this beauty!
